Channel description

From SiIvaGunner Explained
Jump to navigation Jump to search

Most every rip ends with a polite request to read the channel description (presumably done so as to prevent accusations of plagiarism from SoundCloud, these hypothetical accusers not understanding that they were the ones who ran the channel in the first place). It was also occasionally altered for significant events.

Original[edit | edit source]

This was used from the channel's inception in January 2016 until the beginning of the reboot in June. It is mostly identical to the real GilvaSunner's, with the addition of two sentences at the very end.

Here you can find a selection of mostly Nintendo video game music.

I do not own the rights to any of the music heard in these videos. Ripping and recording game music is quite a time-consuming undertaking for me (especially Wii U and 3DS), but feel free to leave soundtrack requests or suggestions via PM or Twitter, and I'll see what I can do.

Banner artwork is from the game "Tengami".

(All uploads are submitted by a small group of content creators. Also, requests are fine, but please don't request more than once.)

Reboot[edit | edit source]

This variant was used for the duration of the reboot (June to July). It is roughly the same as the original, but with different wording.

Here you can find a selection of video game songs, mostly from Nintendo games.

I don't own the rights to the songs uploaded on my channel. Recording and ripping video game songs takes a lot of time (especially on 3DS and Wii U), but feel free to PM or Tweet me some suggestions or requests, and I'll see what I can do for you.

My banner artwork is from the 2014 game "Tengami".

(All of the uploads are willingly submitted by a small team of content creators. Also, please keep your requests to a minimum.)

Post-reboot[edit | edit source]

This version appeared after the normal ending of the reboot and remained the new standard for the rest of the channel's run. It is almost entirely the same as the reboot one.

Here you can find a selection of video game songs, mostly from Nintendo games.

Faux ending[edit | edit source]

On July 30th/31st, following the release of what was ostensibly the end of the channel, the description was altered for an hour (a reference to the message at the end of every episode of Cowboy Bebop).

So long, grand cowboy.

Talk Like a Pirate Day[edit | edit source]

September 19th saw a brief but all-encompassing pirate-themed rebranding, the channel description included.

Here be lyin' a fine selection of mostly Nintendo shanties!

I do not own to any o' the shanties heard in these live performances. Sailin' and plunderin' fer shanties is quite a time-consumin' voyage fer me (especially if ye be takin on the S.S. Wii U and H.M.S. 3DS), but feel free to leave shanty requests or suggestions thru personal message in a bottle or thru carrier pigeon, and I'll see what aye can do!

Banner ARRtwork is from me favorite pirate pastime, "Tengami".

(All of the shanties are hauled in by a team of hard workin' pirates who have given the OK. Also, please keep yer requests to a minimum, or you'll be walkin' the plank!)

Actual ending[edit | edit source]

On October 29th, 2016, following the release of the very last rip, the channel description changed one more time - this time putting everything in past tense, to signify that this was truly the end. (It also completely replaces the sentence about requests with a simple "Thank you" - obviously it wouldn't make sense for a concluded channel to still accept requests.)

Wood Man's takeover[edit | edit source]

On or around November 16th, Wood Man took over the entire channel; naturally, the description was altered into his catch phrase.

nice

Christmas Comeback Crisis[edit | edit source]

On December 14th, 2016, The SiIvaGunner Christmas Comeback Crisis began with a prologue. With the Voice Inside Your Head now in control and beginning his anti-anime crusade, the description changed accordingly.

Welcome to my domain.

Here you will find the highest quality video game music known to mankind.

Weebs will be purged.

Inspector Gadget's takeover[edit | edit source]

On May 14th, 2017, Inspector Gadget took over the channel from the Voice; the channel description was altered into a paraphrased version of his infamous lines from Minecraft with Gadget.
